Chemical Dependency Counselor Certificate

The Chemical Dependency Counselor Certificate prepares students to meet the educational requirements for the Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) application in Minnesota.

The State of Minnesota requirements for the LADC are: UNTIL JULY 1, 2008, a minimum of a 2 year degree with 18 semester credits in approved Chemical Dependency Counselor preparatory course work plus 880 hours of academic Internship (Practicum) in an approved setting. AFTER JULY 1, 2008 a 4 year degree (BA, BS) with 18 semester credits plus 880 hours of Practicum will be required.
