Per faculty direction. Generally for 2-hour in-library use, 2-hour in building use, or overnight use.
Renewals
Materials may be renewed via on-line following the How to Renew Library Items link or in person at the circ/ref desk.
Holds/Recalls
All library material is subject to holds and recalls. A patron who wishes to recall material from another patron or to have an item held on its return may place a hold/recall at the circ/ref desk. All patrons are encouraged to return recalled items within one week of the recall. Patrons who consistently refuse to return recalled material will be subject to suspension of borrowing privileges per discretion of the library director.
Searching for Missing Items
Patrons who are unable to locate library material may complete a search request form at the circ/ref desk. Library staff will search for the missing material and notify the patron by phone or mail when the item is located or determined to be permanently missing.
Fines
Fines are not assessed on overdue items. However, patrons will be charged for unreturned items. Notifications will be made in writing. If patrons fail to return items the charges will be sent to the state for collections processing and a hold will be placed on the patron's records.
Patrons chronic in returning materials late may lose all borrowing privileges per discretion of the library director.
Replacement/Processing Charges
Replacement charges for non-returned library materials will be assessed per current replacement costs plus $15.00 per-item processing fee. For items no longer available, replacement cost is $50.00 per item.
Suspension of Borrowing Privileges
Patrons who fail to return or renew material or who incur charges for non returned material will be blocked from further borrowing privileges until all material has been returned or all charges paid and cleared. Chronic offenders may lose all borrowing privileges even when materials have been returned and any charges paid, per discretion of the library director.
