Click here for information on loan repayment.

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College students may choose to access a number of loan programs:
  • Direct Subsidized Loan
  • Direct Unsubsidized Loan
  • Direct PLUS Loan (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Student)

Click here to see an overview of all available loan options (printable pdf document).

Deadline
All loan applications must be received by the Financial Aid Office a minimum of five business days before the end of the term for which a student is applying for the loan.

Online Resources
Please note that these external web sites are not operated by Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College and that you will be leaving the college web site if you choose to click on one of the links.

  • Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized Loans
There are 3 steps in applying for Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized Loans
  1.  Entrance Loan Counseling   Click on the green SIGN IN button, and complete the Entrance Loan Counseling.  When you have completed the Entrance Counseling DO NOT LOGOUT!  You can move to the next step in the process – the Master Promissory Note – from the screen you are on.  You don’t need to turn anything in to the Financial Aid Office - the website will notify the Financial Aid Office for you.
  2. Master Promissory Note (MPN)  Staying on the same page that you ended your Entrance Counseling on, click on the COMPLETE MPN link in the left margin.  Again, the website will notify the Financial Aid Office that you have completed the MPN.
  3. Loan Request Form.
  1. Complete the online Loan Request Form on your eServices account at www.fdltcc.edu > Current Students > Student eServices > Account Access > Login > Financial Aid > select the correct semester > Loans.
  2. Once you are on the Loan Application screen, the amount displayed is the “Full Time” amount.
  3. If you are taking less than 12 credits, please retrieve your accurate loan amount using the “To see your eligibility at all enrollment levels” link.
  4. If the loan amount or loan period (the terms during the school year you want the loan for, i.e. Fall term only, or both Fall and Spring) are incorrect, make the changes and Continue.
  5. The following forms are provided if you prefer to complete a paper Loan Request Form:
  • Exit Loan Counseling Exit Loan Counseling must be completed after receiving the last disbursement of your Direct Loan.
  • Check Direct Loan status You can track the status of your Direct Loan application, change contact information, and make payments through this site.
  • PLUS Loan (Parent Loan for Undergraduate Student).  There are two steps in applying for a PLUS Loan:
    • PLUS Online Application Parents will sign in, complete MPN (Master Promissory Note) and complete Parent PLUS MPN. Do not complete the PLUS Request Process — this is a commonly made error. A credit check is then performed by the U.S. Department of Education to determine eligibility.
    • PLUS Request Form:
