Industrial Rigging Instructor
Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is seeking an experienced Instructor certified in industrial rigging to instruct students in rigging techniques utilizing examples of lifting techniques in the mill including roll changes, pump removal, and electric motors. Responsibilities include curriculum development, implementation, management and teaching of industrial rigging principles and practices. Instruction will prepare students to pass industrial rigging certification tests. This is a grant-funded adjunct position.
Job Qualifications:
Must have experience teaching industrial rigging or other technical subjects/processes
Must be able to teach proper use and selection of lifting devices and equipment (straps, chain, cables, shackles, eye bolts, creepers, wire rope slings, etc.)
Must be able to instruct students on math formula required to perform safe hoisting
Must have curriculum development and classroom instruction experience
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be able to use a variety of instructional strategies (lecture and hands on applications)
Must be able to transfer knowledge to students
Must have formal training in rigging techniques
Must be able to maintain safety standards and practices
Must be familiar with the test provisions for certification
Must be certified in Industrial Rigging
Supervisory experience in Industrial Rigging preferred
