COURSE INFORMATION
Geol 1001 Introductory Geology 4 credits Offered Spring Semesters An introduction to the structure and evolution of the earth and its landforms, including the study of minerals and rocks, volcanic activity, earthquakes, and the theory of plate tectonics. The geology of Minnesota is emphasized. COURSE SYLLABUS COURSE OUTLINE Geol 2010 Geomorphology 4 credits Offered Fall Semesters A study of landforms and the geologic processes that create and modify them. Topographic maps and aerial photographs are used as tools for interpreting the origin and geologic history of landscapes.
