River Congress
Each spring, students, teachers, and community members are invited to attend the annual St. Louis River - River Watch Congress hosted at the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College campus. The Congress is a forum for people to share information, celebrate accomplishments, and learn more about the natural and cultural history of the St. Louis River watershed region. Throughout the day-long event, participants attend learning sessions featuring a variety of environmental and river-related activities and information. Area professionals, environmental educators, and the students themselves lead the exciting and thought-provoking learning sessions. These session leaders encourage stewardship of the watershed through a variety of activities. Student-designed posters and exhibits reflecting their monitoring data and River Watch experiences are on display throughout the day.
